Agent Alerts: Client Submission & Fees Rules Effective 4/2/2019

Please note that individuals who were previously covered under any prior A. B. Nicholas agent agreements (pre February 1, 2019) will no longer have access to the Agent Portal and resources as of April 15, 2019, unless they have signed the new Agent Agreement. If you have lost or deleted the new agreement that was sent to you last week, please contact us at [email protected] for a replacement copy. 

In addition, individuals who are not  signed to the new agreement by April 15, 2019, will not have permission to refer clients into A. B. Nicholas programs per regulations. 

Individuals who ARE formally signed to the new Agent Agreement by April 15 will be free to refer clients into A. B. Nicholas programs without limitation; however, ONLY those who have completed the full Compliance Exam (with a score of 100%) may receive any referral fees per legal & regulatory guidelines established March 15, 2019. 

We therefore urge all former agents to

1) Sign their new Agent Agreement and

2) Register & pay $35 testing fee (abnicholas.com/certregister), complete the video compliance training program (1 hour, 15 minutes), and take the Compliance Exam as noted.

Those who have completed these one-time steps will be listed as Certified A. B. Nicholas Agents and may both refer clients and receive fees on any of their referrals. 

New agent applicants bringing clients for the first time will be required to sign the new Agent Agreement before we can issue their client a term sheet. They too will need to complete the Compliance Exam before we can pay any fees pursuant to their transactions, as noted above.

We remind all that these are not arbitrary, but regulatory steps that keep you, our company and our programs in line with FINRA guidelines for referring (not brokering) clients into financial programs.
